The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.-Mark Twain
That is me at 2017.
Reflecting on some life goals, I came this site today https://www.myabaris.com/tools/life-expectancy-calculator-how-long-will-i-live/
They say the results are personal and all that – but I think its just basic statistics really.
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.- Mark Twain

Rotterdam airport bus ride. Better climate than Qatar and better smoothness in terms of service and ambiance. Below, what Rotterdam looks from the sky.
The local train – RanstadRail from Rotterdam. You need to take a bus ride from the airport to the stand. It was a rainy day and I had an umbrella inside the bag but I did not use it.

Travelling is in my blood, even my ancestors were migrants from Upper Asia and Tibet. Writing about your travels is like composing a music on paper that you have already experienced in your mind and inner ear. I recently got a contracted project and packed to head for Munich and the Netherlands. Europe is quite familiar to me as I frequent the Western bloc every year on some pretext anyways. This time my destination is five places – Munich, Zoetermeer, the Hague, Rotterdam and Amsterdam. In 3 months you can only do so much and that too with a stupid Indian passport that gets you there, but not without the requisite formalities, certainly no visa on arrival convenience. Regarding visa -real easy got it in 2 days sharp and valid for 2 years! Amazing for me, since that means I get to avoid the passport office as much as possible to enjoy Europe and all of its offerings.
Countries I have visited so far till 2017 April.
Europe : Germany, France, Netherlands, Poland, Luxembourg
Asia: Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri-Lanka, U.A.E.
Africa: Rwanda, Uganda
15 countries so far in the space of 5 years, notwithstanding countless excursions within each country from state to state and region to region as well as in my home nation the Indian sub-continent from the hilly mountains to the coldest parts of Asia near the Himalayas and Ladakh as well as the jungles of North East India – I am quite happy till now and my passport is nearly finished. So I have to apply for renewal soon. The chart below is generated from www.amcharts.com in their visited countries section. You can make your own one too.

I wanted to share one of my shoot pics – personal use mainly – but it looks kinda OK for my tastes. I look kinda androgynous in real life so its nice the way it turned up.
I want to keep my posts shorter than I normally just bang out. It keeps things coherent.
I took a 15 days vacation in various parts of Thailand with the starting destination -Bangkok(I normally fly from Delhi International Airport in India). The occasion was to celebrate the publication of my book-Windows Malware Analysis Essentials, Packt 2015. I like travelling solo as I meet so many people that having another one tugging around is like taking care of extra baggage, not always but mostly so. Also it inhibits talking to other people cos you are always talking to your travel partner.

So I did release by debut EP – Emotion Coder- My Never Ending Wish around the turn of 2013 and it has been sometime since I have put out anything and I plan to fix that very soon with loads of stuff. Balancing bill payments with artistic musings is not as easy as I had imagined, though ideas have been getting recorded with no interruption. It is the completion that takes time, like a picture that never finishes. I believe someone said that procrastination is the biggest evil for any artist to conquer. That and other personal reasons, namely in the excuse of “research” 😉
However, I recently spotted my own creations on torrent for downloads. Secretly this was a dream of mine for sometime since childhood during the days of Audiogalaxy circa mid-to-late naugthies. During those school days, I even read one of the members of the band Ladytron discovering that their albums were on torrent at that time, and he took to chatting with the seeders. He exclaimed that none of the seeders believed that he was the artist himself! Kool thing I noted and I remember it even now after all these years (I do have a very sharp memory/musical memory/spatial memory).
VA-Private Lounge Club 4 ::
Siesta Electronica Series ::
These two snapshots display what is happening to my own creation as part of VA compilations. Thankfully the download rates are not as good as I fear, so no worries for now. However they also do remind me of the dismal state of the actual market sales for most indie and signed niche electronic artists round about now. Marketing and brand building needs a lot more work and I appreciate that it involves moving beyond your comfort zone and putting content while also spreading the word.
At least my dream came true (including other things like – making love to white women, working with computer virii professionally, composing and releasing my own music internationally, mastering music production, playing piano, travelling over Europe, learning and appreciating a lifelong love of surtout French, getting an androgynous look with enviable hair, having my own pro-grade music studio with my own cash and a few others…).
I am a man of simple tastes.
Tabletop : Modular Mobile Music Production
Modular music production was the craze during the retro analog era when individual analog components had control voltage inputs and outputs and midi was unheard of. Later on packaged synth hardware became popular because of stability and cohesiveness of having the modules preconnected.The real digital renaissance came with Reason for Windows and Mac around 2001, which rocked the DAW paradigm and arguably was more of a soft-studio because audio and VST plugins support was not provided. The beauty was that all the instruments could be rerouted or have their signals shared or split with other controllers and fx modules that gives it the immense flexibility that Reason is known for. However, rewire came along soon and that changed the workflow barriers. Any rewire supporting music software could communicate with another software or a DAW with rewire support as master or slave. Notion- Music notation for the modern (electronic) musician.
As electronic musicians we are on the constant learning and discovering curve. Even in the midst of our projects, we have so many paths for each final versions. Anyone who has created multiple versions of a project would know that backups and maintenance notwithstanding, the tangible produce of the variations are a fertile breeding ground for even more ideas. If ideas are the germ from which grand works like Beethoven’s 9th and your latest favourite dubstep track is created, then I certainly am sold on the idea of iterative creation tools and the simplistic learning curve with astounding results.
